With over 90 years of experience making boots, LOWA boots are thought to have become some of the best boots available today.
The Mountain GTX is the most popular boot in LOWAS Task Force collection. It is fully waterproof using a mixture of quality full grain leather and GORE-TEX materials. The Mountain GTX uses a near identical specification to the popular Combat GTX GORE-TEX boot, the key difference being it's slightly smaller and lighter making the boot a perfect all rounder.

Bought these for hill walking as I'm fed up of having my Meindl (Island MFS £240) boots replaced after 6-9mths!! 3 times.
Lowas are £50 cheaper but really feel more robust & made to last. Leather is much thicker.
Lowa give a 3yr warranty (non-services/work use), Meindl 12 mths.
They're superb for what I want- forest, countryside & hill walks.
Granted the Lows are Not quite as comfortable as the Meindl but I feel these Lowas are going to outlast their 3yr warranty! -
